Hotel Thorshamar Vestmannaeyjar
Hotel Thorshamar is located in the center of the town and was opened in 1987.  In the hotel are 18 rooms, thereof 2 suites and some of them are nonsmoking rooms. 

In all rooms are bathrooms with shower, minibar, telephone, radio and TV.  On the first floor in the hotel are a restaurant and a bar.  All services are nearby, which makes the Hotel especially convenient for either a guest in a business trip or the common tourist.

Fjolan Restaurant in Vestmannaeyjar
Located in the same house as the Hotel, restaurant Fjola (The Violet) serves delicious dishes of fowl, meat and seafood according to season.

Hamar Gesthouse in Vestmannaeyjar
Hotel Hamar is in the central of the town and was originally opened in 1983.  In the hotel are 14 rooms and some of them are nonsmoking rooms.  In all rooms are bathrooms with shower, radio and TV.

Hotel Mamma Guesthouse in Vestmannaeyjar
Located across the street from Hotel Thorshamar. All 7 rooms have TV with channels and video player. Hotel Mamma is great for families, like an apartment hotel with highest quality beds. Guests have access to a washer and dryer in-house.

Guesthouse Sunnuholl
Located behind the hotel, all 8 rooms have a TV. A kitchen is located at entrance and a bathroom with shower is located on each floor. Breakfast is available at the Hotel. A telephone is located in the entrance.

Travel Service in Westmann Island

The ferry, Herjolfur, equipped to take on cars, sails daily from a port on the south coast. If not driving yourself, buses leave the bus deport in Reykjavík at appropriate times.

Flights, several a day, take 20 minutes from Reykjavík. It is also possible to take a short 5 minute chartered flight from a small airport on the south coast at Bakki.

Stores, banking, and other services are all available in Vestmannaeyjar, including art and craft galleries where hand made souvenirs and gifts that reflect the island are available.
