Jokularlon is one of Icelands greatest natural wonders.Jokulsarlon is around 50 km east of Skaftafell. Jokulsarlon ( glacier lagoon ) is a deep lake clustered with ice floes, between the Breidamerkurjökull glacier and a ridge of glacial till. Just east of the lagoon is a small restaurant. The Bus Company Austurleid/SBS ldd. stops by the lagoon every day during summer. The distance from the capital along the south coast is about 400 km.
